Neighbors becoming new creations in Christ

Welcome

Since 2007, Caterpillar Ministries has been sharing life and the love of Christ with the Huntington Green mobile home community.

We currently serve about 225 children and adults through educational, spiritual, and mentoring programs in the neighborhood. Though our programs have grown and changed throughout the years, our mission has stayed constant: that low-income families in the Lake Norman area will have a relationship with Jesus that enables them to become all that God has created them to be.

All are welcome at Dad's House (our rented ministry trailer); we'd love the honor to welcome you into our living room one day. In the meantime, please make yourself at home here on our website.

We hope you'll get the chance to explore our website and then come visit us in person, but here's the short version:

We love and serve the Huntington Green neighborhood by relationally and creatively meeting a wide variety of needs. We offer early interventions through our Comprehensive Early Literacy preschool programs, academic tutoring and mentoring from grades 1-12, Kids Bible Clubs for early elementary kids, and faith-based small groups for our kids in grades 4-12. We have a Job Training Program for women as well as a ladies' Bible study. Outside of normal programming, we offer a crisis food pantry, benevolence money assistance, clothing drives, school supply giveaways, Christmas toy stores, and a place of love and care. We visit with our neighbors, pray with families, attend birthday parties, throw really fun camps, and share the normal spaces of life! God is abundantly faithful.

The Neighborhood

The Neighborhood

Huntington Green is a mobile-home community in Huntersville, North Carolina. The neighborhood has about 350 trailers with nearly 2,000 residents-- there's a lot of kids! The families we serve are mostly Latino, with a large caucasian population as well, followed by a smaller African American demographic. Nearly all the families we serve live under the Federal Poverty Level, and face many of the challenges commonly associated with poverty. We love our families and are honored to share life and Jesus with the Huntington Green neighborhood.
