A large, rectangular answer to prayer came to us in June when we heard from a neighbor who was planning to sell his trailer and soon thereafter, we were able to purchase it with the board's approval and assistance from two generous donors. Next up was finding an available lot... and we did! Soon, we had a lease at the corner of Hambright Road and Lamesa Place, and thus the start of making our ""Come On Home"" pilot housing program became a tangible reality.
Then we began to pray for the logistics to fall into place. For a company to move the trailer. For permits to come through. For a project manager to help us get it county code-approved and ready to be lived in before cold weather arrives. In Genesis, Exodus and Deuteronomy, scripture reminds us that God prepares the way for His people and goes with them.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." — Deut 31:8
On August 29th, the trailer made its way the quarter mile (about 1,600 feet) very slowly from Frontier Place to its new "home" on Hambright Road. When it finally had cleared all the power lines and had been set into place, we exhaled an "alleluia!" and sent up an "AMEN!"
